Cancellation Policy

Studio So Lara requires 24 hours notice for cancellation or changes to your scheduled appointment. Appointments cancelled without 24 hour notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service

When booking a SAME DAY appointment (or booking an appointment for a time within a 24 hour time frame), we kindly request that you provide us with minimum 3 hours notice for cancellations and changes.

We understand that unforeseen emergencies do come up, but we reserve the right to enforce this policy when we’ve had multiple last minute cancellations. As a reminder, please call the studio (not the service provider directly) as soon as you know you can’t make your scheduled appointment. Thank you!

Missed Appointments & Late Arrivals

Guests who do not show up for their scheduled appointments without contacting the studio itself are considered absentee and are subject to a cancellation fee as outlined in the policy above. (Again, we ask that you reach out to the studio, and not the service provider, as our stylists are not typically on their phones or social media whilst working).

If a guest is more than 15 minutes late for the set appointment time, we will make every effort to provide the service for which the time remaining allows. If this is not possible, this may result in a cancellation fee, as outlined in our cancellation policy above. Again, we absolutely understand that emergencies happen, but we reserve the right to enforce this policy when we’ve had multiple late arrivals.

Correction Service Policy

Studio So Lara aims to provide the highest quality of service. If a guest feels that the result of their visit is not in-line with the agreed up consultation, we require guests to contact us within 1 week of the performed service. An appointment is then made to come in and consult with the stylist at which time an assessment will be done to determine if a colour correction is required, discuss next steps. Please keep in mind, your hair health is our ultimate priority, going from darker to lighter tones may require more than one service to achieve your desired goal.

Right to Refuse Service

The safety and comfort of our staff and patrons is our priority. Studio So Lara reserves the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating any aggressive or inappropriate behaviour to any other guests or member of our team.

We also reserve the right to refuse requests for services that we don’t feel align with our standards at the studio. Namely, if the service you’re asking us to complete would drastically damage the integrity and health of your hair, we reserve the right to refuse. We will typically work with you to make recommendations for services that might be safer for your hair overall.

A Note from Lara

Thank you for reading our policies. Ultimately, cancellations and missed appointments leave gaps in our stylists’ schedules. Without timely notice, those gaps cannot be filled. This prevents us from accommodating other guests waiting for appointments - which is so hard to see!

We do our best to remind you of your appointment, by sending a confirmation email or SMS 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. However, it is ultimately your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times.

We absolutely understand that life just happens sometimes - but we appreciate when you give us as much warning as possible, so we might be able to accommodate a guest sitting on our waitlist.
